About Me

Yes, you guessed right my name is Israel and a couple of weeks ago I celebrated my 30th b-day, 30 years full of stories, anecdotes, experiences and dreams which I will eventually share with you all.

I was born in SoCal but at a very young age relocated with my family to Mazatlan, Sin, Mexico where I lived until my early teenage years.  When I came back to the States for my high school years I had some rough times trying to assimilate everything, I had the biggest cultural identity crisis: wasn’t 100% American, wasn’t 100% Mexican, wasn’t 100% Mexican-American… eventually I came to understand that I was me.

Growing up in Mexico taught me alot about life, to appreciate the little things as much as life changing experiences, to be thankful for my blessings seen and unseen, and to be ambitious for a better life.  I have a bag full of stories and crazy memories growing up in Mexico, but there’s time ahead to pull one at the time.

I have always been passionate about music and visual narrative, my two favorite outlets to let the madness in my head burst out of me.

I love Rock en Espanol, I attended my first Caifanes concert at age 10 and opened a new world to me. I love all the classic rock bands from Mexico: El Tri, Maldita, Cafe Tacuba, Victimas, Fobia, Cuca, Amantes de Lola, Molotov, etc.  I grew up listening to all this music and definitely shaped my perception of the world today.

Wanna know more? Well if I had to describe myself in one word I would say i’m just a Guacamole, I am made of a bunch of different and random ingredients which when put together become a delicious and flavorful mix, Americanized for sophistication and with a distinctive Mexican sting!

Feel free to ask me anything you would like to find out, the only thing I can promise is an honest answer!
